The first step in framing was to run 2 layers of 2x6 around the whole perimeter. This raises the walls up 3" for the concrete floors. We had some excellent help from our friends Jed and Jillian. It was very exciting for Jillian to actually see the house that she designed become a reality.
While we went to California, Dave the excavator operator came back to 1706 and changed the landscape one more time. In 2.5 days he backfilled the whole perimeter of the house and then dug out for the frostwall foundation of the garage.
